BankBridge adds a Pay by bank gateway (id bankbridge_ach) to classic and block checkouts, with HPOS support, refunds and WooCommerce Subscriptions renewals.
Gateway options
WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → Pay by bank

|---|---|---|
| Settlement | Plaid Transfer | Or Processor token to hand a token to Stripe, Dwolla and others via the bankbridge_wc_processor_token action. |

| Signal risk check | Off | Scores return risk before charging; payments above the maximum score are blocked. |
| Maximum Signal score | 70 | 1–99, bank-initiated return risk. |
| Minimum / maximum order total | — | Hide the method outside this range. |
Order lifecycle
- Customer picks a saved account or connects a bank, ticks the authorization and places the order.
- BankBridge authorizes and creates the transfer; the order goes on-hold with the transfer ID.
- Transfer events (webhook, or the hourly event sync) move the order to processing when the chosen status is reached.
- Returned or failed transfers set the order to failed and email the admin.
Refunds
Refund from the order screen as usual — BankBridge creates a Plaid transfer refund for settled transfers, or cancels the transfer if it hasn’t been sent yet.
Guest checkout
With Settings → Frontend → Guest bank payments on, shoppers can pay without an account. Guest connections are tied to a secure, HttpOnly cookie, moved to the customer’s account if they register or log in, and removed at Plaid after 24 hours otherwise. Turn on Signal to screen guest debits.
Subscriptions
With WooCommerce Subscriptions, the bank account used at checkout is stored on the subscription and renewals are charged automatically.
Try it: Shop → checkout, or follow the guest checkout scenario in Test scenarios.
