Verify people with Plaid Identity Verification (KYC), confirm account ownership with Identity Match, and gate content or grant access based on the result.
Identity Verification (KYC)
- Enable Identity Verification in the Plaid Dashboard (for Sandbox click Enable Sandbox) and create a template.
- Paste the template ID (
idvtmp_…) into Settings → Identity & Risk. - Add
[bankbridge_verify_identity]to a page. Results are stored per user and shown in BankBridge → Verifications.
Identity Match
[bankbridge_verify_identity mode="match"] compares name, email, phone and address with the bank’s account-holder data. The overall score is the average of the best per-field scores; 70+ passes (filter bankbridge_identity_match_threshold).
Verified-only content
| Requirement | Satisfied when |
|---|---|
kyc | Identity Verification succeeded |
bank | User has an active bank connection |
identity_match | Latest Identity Match passed |
kyc_and_bank | Both KYC and an active bank |
Use [bankbridge_gate], the Verified content block or the builder widget. Helper for themes: bankbridge_user_is_verified( $user_id, 'kyc' ).
Roles and memberships
In Settings → Roles & access, grant a WordPress role, a MemberPress membership or a PMPro level when a user meets the requirement; optionally revoke it when they no longer do (only access BankBridge granted is removed).
Signal and Monitor
Signal scores ACH return risk for payments (see Payments). Monitor screens users against watchlists when a program ID is configured.
