Verify identity (KYC)

Know-your-customer checks with Plaid Identity Verification: ID data, document and risk checks in Plaid’s hosted flow. A successful result marks the WordPress user as KYC-verified.

How to test

Log in, then click Verify my identity.
Use Plaid’s Sandbox test person: phone +1 234-567-8909, code 11111, Leslie Knope, born January 18 1975, 123 Main St., Pawnee, Indiana 46001, SSN 123-45-6789.
Finish the flow — the status updates to verified and gated pages (Members area) unlock.

Identity Verification must be enabled for your Plaid team (Dashboard → Products → Identity Verification → Enable Sandbox) and its template ID entered in Settings → Identity & Risk. If either is missing you’ll see a setup message instead of the flow.
