Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to try the PluginLoom plugins on this demo site, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or voice control. This page says what we tested, what we know still falls short, and how to tell us about a problem.

Our standard

We measure this site and the BankBridge, Encadena and ChargeWarden plugins against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) does not set a technical standard for private websites, so WCAG 2.2 AA is the benchmark we use. There is no official “ADA certification” for a website, and we do not claim one.

Conformance status

Partially conformant. Most of this site meets WCAG 2.2 AA in our testing, but some parts do not yet, and no person using a screen reader has tested it end to end. The known gaps are listed below.

What we tested

Last reviewed on 24 October 2026, on every public page of this demo, the WooCommerce shop, cart, checkout and account pages, and every BankBridge, Encadena and ChargeWarden admin screen (signed in as the read-only demo user and as an administrator).

  • Automated checks with axe-core 4.10 (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules, plus best practices) at 1280 and 320 CSS pixels wide.
  • Keyboard only: the skip link, the menu and Plugins dropdown (Escape closes them and returns focus), forms, confirm dialogs (focus moves in, stays in, and returns on Escape), detail drawers, copy buttons and their “Copied” messages.
  • Reflow at 320 CSS pixels (a 1280 pixel screen at 400% zoom), text at 200%, and the WCAG text spacing settings (line height 1.5, letter spacing 0.12em, word spacing 0.16em).
  • Colour contrast of text (4.5:1, or 3:1 for large text) and of form borders, focus rings and icons that carry meaning (3:1), including the saffron demo banner.
  • Page structure: one main heading per page, no skipped heading levels, named landmarks, page titles, Spanish pages marked as Spanish, and the accessibility tree of live messages, dialogs and status labels.
  • Reduced motion: spinners, dialogs and toasts stop animating when your system asks for reduced motion. Nothing on the site flashes.

Known limitations

  • PDF documents are not tagged. The Encadena invoice PDFs and the ChargeWarden ACH evidence reports are drawn by the plugins’ own PDF writers. They set the document language and title, but they have no tag structure, so a screen reader cannot tell headings and table cells apart (WCAG 1.3.1). The same information is available without the PDF: the invoice block on the order page and in My account and the export for your accountant (CSV) for Encadena; the ACH monitoring screen and the same evidence report as a CSV file for ChargeWarden.
  • Third-party parts. The Plaid Link window (bank connection), Cloudflare Turnstile or hCaptcha (the optional ChargeWarden security check), WooCommerce’s own cart and checkout blocks and the WordPress admin itself are made by other companies. We test how our plugins use them, but we cannot fix them. For example, WooCommerce’s checkout links field errors in a way some screen readers do not announce, and its cart shows a “Loading price” label on an element that does not support one.
  • Wide tables on admin screens scroll sideways inside their own box on small screens, which WCAG allows for data tables. The box can be scrolled with the keyboard.
  • Screen reader testing. We checked the code and the accessibility tree, but a person has not yet tested the site with NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this demo or in one of the plugins is hard to use, tell us through PluginLoom support. Say which page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use. The store’s own statement is at pluginloom.com/accessibility.
